A Dissection Of The 2002 Figure Design

Storm Shadow is the newest guinea pig for Dr. Mindbender's experiment.  The good doctor will be showing us what many have never seen before.....INSIDE A 2002 FIGURE.  He will be comparing the new design to the old one.  Inquiring minds want to know and Mindbender is all too eager to perform this grueling task.

Surgeon : Dr. Mindbender

Assistant : Shackles 

Operation: Dissection

                               dis·sec·tion (d-skshn):  The act of separating tissue (or plastic), for anatomical study. 

 

FULL BODY:

*Same height, and overall close in dimensions

* More  body detail

 

HEAD AND NECK:

*"Ball and socket" joint for maximum pivot

*Currently no side tabs, head can spin 360 degrees

*Excellent feature:  "ninja neck snap" maneuver

 

 

INSIDE CHEST:

*Larger shoulder cavity

*completely redesigned waist.

 

INSIDE BACK:

*Same screw size holding torso together

*Torso and hips pivot 360 degrees

 

UPPER ARM AND ELBOW:

*Full range of motion

*Shoulder redesigned to be larger

*Plastic arm rivets for color matching

 

HANDS:

*Wrap around grip

*Slightly softer hands, but still firm

 

HIP AND LEGS:

*Completely redesigned hip and leg

*Legs pivot back and forth 180 degrees

*Legs can not be further dissected

OVERALL CONCLUSION:

*Greater detail in physical features

*Articulation is still good

*But figure can not spread legs from side to side

*Overall a well designed body
